Anonymous asked: I need your advice, please! I'm a dancer taking many hours of dance a week, competing, and going for a career. In jazz, hip hop etc. I get solos and the teachers likes me a lot, but they're not treating me unfair. My ballet teacher though, loves me, and shows favoritism towards me all the time and gives me way more attention than the others in class. I appreciate it, but I know that the other girls dislike me A LOT because of that. I try to be as humble as possible, but I don't know what to do?!

Being humble and grateful for your opportunities is always good thing, so don’t stop that! Don’t be afraid to tell the other dancers that you think they are good, or that they looked great in their dance. Compliments always help! I’m not a competition dancer, so I’m not sure how they work, but if you wanted to, maybe you could ask your teacher if you could skip doing a solo for one of the competitions to give another person a chance if they would allow it :)
